July 3 Day 32 82 miles

Another challenging day in Missouri. For every rushing downhill run we had, there was a corresponding uphill, over and over all day. Like a 7 hour workout on the stair stepper.

There were lots of hay fields, still some corn, and very few towns.

After the second SAG, there were threatening thunderheads all around, and finally the rain caught up with us, lasting about an hour.

We leave Chillicothe under still sunny skies.

The terrain lots a lot like yesterday.

On these small country roads, the van stops where it can to provide water.

The small town of Linneus provides what is needed for a SAG stop.

Signage is sometimes a little challenging. Fortunately, we have bicycle computers that are usually accurate.

We can see the storm coming at this last SAG stop.

No more photos today!

We arrived in Kirksville, Missouri safe and sound.

July 4 looks good here in Bath: music on the waterfront with the usual carnival rides; beer garden this year; parade tomorrow at 10 and fireworks in the evening. Weather is great.

Hope the rain cools things off for you. Happy Fourth!!
