June 14 Day 13 65 miles

This was a lovely day fo riding from Salt Lake City to Provo Utah. We were riding along a pretty bike path for the first 20 miles and again, a few other times during the day. We slowly approached the snow covered Wasatch Mountains, that run along the east side of Salt Lake and Provo. Thunder clouds were threatening around us, but it never rained.

We rode with Michael's friend Jeff, who recommended a terrific taco place for lunch. It was then a comfortable push, from there into Provo.

This put us on a lovely bike path, starting on the winding Jordan River, and headed incrementally toward the Wasatch Mountains.

We took the usual breaks during the day . It was pleasant to ride at a more relaxed pace, and during the day the mountains got steadily closer. There was the occasional wrong turn, that required course correction, sometimes a little bit off road.

Fot once, we actually sat down for lunch!

We had just a few more turns and hills.

We will sleep in Provo tonight, the home of Brigham Young University.
